How to decrease the size of the raptordb database folder?

Nov 18, 2015 at 4:09 PM
In a routine of my software I archive temporary entity that periodically I remove using the method Db.Delete (MyGuidId).
I realized that the folder I use to save raptordb continues to increase its size.
I tried to do a backup and a restore of the db, but size does not change. (for example the folder is over 500 Mb (without backup), while the backup is only 30 Mb)
Is there a way to free up space?
thank you

RaptorDB was designed with an append only main storage so it will continually grow.

However there is a High Frequency Key/Value store which will recycle and compact it's storage file (but it is only a key value store and no views).

I understand that the database will continue to grow for the sake of performance. But for the use that I want to do a huge amount of temporary data that are disproportionately increase the size of the database.
How would you suggest I do to manually perform this function compaction?

I thought:
1) backup
2) copy backup to a temporary folder
3) delete database raptordb
4) I recreate the database with the same view raptordb
5) copy the backup file in the backup folder of raptordb
6) launch the restore.

Do you think I could to achieve the desired result?
thank you
